About the Astoria Moms Meetup Group

The Astoria Moms meetup group is currently in its 8th year.  It was started by a group of stay at home moms looking for support and friends in their community. This year the group has new leadership.

This group welcomes stay at home as well as working mothers.  In an effort to be more inclusive, new organizers Lissette Paz & Erin Carman have made important changes to the group like removing all participation requirements. In the past, this limited who could be a part of this growing community. They have worked hard to create a sense of community within the group.  As the group continues to grow, a variety of events fills the calendar from month to month. With play dates, story time, new mom events, mom nights out, fundraisers, museum trips, book clubs, family potlucks and many community events, there seems to be something for everyone. They just recently held the successful 8th Annual Family Halloween Parade.   There are children in the group from newborns to 12 years old, and are proud to say this is no longer a group children grow out of.  They welcome all past members to rejoin them and continue to grow in our community.
