Celebrate Apple Picking Season with Recipes, Books and Events


Fall is finally here and the kids are back to school. As your weekends start to free up, find your way the Queens County Farm Museum or other great orchards and farms. Visitors can enjoy fresh cider and a variety of baked apple goods along with other activities like pick your own pumpkin and hay rides. You don’t have to leave the borough to enjoy some farming and fresh air.





Other ways to enjoy apple picking season

Kids ages 3-4 and their adult companions learn all about apples and where applesauce came from, then make and eat their own applesauce. Other activities include songs, time with apple-loving animals, and an art project.  Price: $17
