Kids Fun House in Ridgewood

I love this place. I really do. Do not let the wacky website dissuade you from going. There is not only a baby/toddler play area which is
shoe free and super clean but a bigger kid play area as well. This is great for families like mine who may have little ones and older ones to entertain all at once. The very best thing about Kids Fun House however is that there is a really cute café for parents and kids with good coffee and healthy snacks for kids. You will not regret a trip to this place. There is all day open play every day but Monday so take a visit and have some fun.

Juniper Valley
Park in Middle Village

The newly reconstructed Juniper Valley Park has a toddler
playground that is sure to impress even the smallest critic. Bring snacks,
juice boxes and sunscreen and head for a day at this beautiful new play
structure.

Middle VIllage

Astoria Park and
Pool

The zero feet zero inches area at the far end of the pool
makes this place ideal for free water fun and some sunning for mom. There is a café
in the pool area but the food is not the healthiest so bring along stuff you
like. The play park is directly outside of the pool area so when the kids want
a change of pace you can let them burn off some more steam on land. This play
date is sure to exhaust the most resilient kidlets.

LIC Kids Open Play
in Long Island City

LIC kids has an open play session every day from 12-3pm.
It is warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and dry when it is wet out. There
are gymnastic structures, foam blocks, and a great looking trampoline to have
fun on.

Queens Zoo

This is a nice structured outing to take little ones to.
The Queens Zoo has a domestic animal area where you can feed a Llama and see
bunnies etc. They have a Discovery Center with animal related kids books etc
that is open on the weekends as well.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Queens County Farm

Despite what one might think, the Queens County Farm
Museum is open every day from 9am to 5pm. There are animals to pet, a picnic
area, and just plain old nature. The farm is great for large play dates with
more than two families or just a nice way to catch up with the outdoors.
