Summer Swim Program at The Flushing Meadows Pool
There are two programs that your child can be involved with when it comes to summer swimming, the competitive program and the developmental program. One is obviously centered more around swim meets and competition than the other which centers around swimming technique.
Interested kids will be scheduled for assessments on a first come first served basis. Openings in the developmental program are more limited.
Be sure to respond by sending Shawn Slevin an email indicating your interest. Registration and payment will take place at assessments.

The children’s sessions run in two sessions- either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can choose anywhere from a short-but-sweet two week session to the full seven week program. From 9am to 4pm your children will spend half the day learning about all the different aspects of gardening (through growing their own plants, learning how to use tools, companion planting and of course harvesting) and will spend the afternoons in the Botanical Garden focusing on various exciting elements of our natural environment (insects, birds, seed dispersion, alternative energy, etc). All this, and NO TEXTBOOKS! They focus truly on hands-on, visual learning, so the kids can feel, smell, see, hear and taste the environment. 43-50 Main Street Flushing, NY 11355
