Movie on the Lawn in Flushing

Parks will screen Blueprint: New York City Parks, a new
and fascinating exploration of five iconic parks that shaped the city and
inspire park systems around the country and around the world.  The one-hour special aired on NYC Life on May
17th on NYC life, the flagship station of NYC Media, the official network of
the City of New York. The film focuses on Central Park in Manhattan, Prospect
Park in Brooklyn, Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx (the largest park in New York),
Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens and the Staten Island Greenbelt (one of
the truly hidden treasures of the Big Apple). 
Also featured during the screening will be “It’s My Park,” a NYC life
series which offers overviews, activities, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of
many of NYC’s most beautiful green spaces throughout the five boroughs. Read on for the specifics.
