Winter Wildlife – Ages 3, 4 -5, and 6 – 7
This year you can share your winter vacation with birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians while learning how these animals cope with the season’s worst weather. Learn about the amazing winter survival techniques of wildlife through stories, games, crafts and live animals up close. A snack is provided. Ages 3 and 4 limited to 12 participants. Ages 5 and 6-7 limited to 15 participants.
Animal Care Club – Ages 8 – 12
Would you like to help us care for APEC’s animals? This program teaches children about the interesting job of an animal caretaker. Children will have hands-on experience in feeding, brushing, cleaning and learning all about the needs of APEC’s animals. Snack and animal care trainee certificate included! Limited to 8 participants.
12 sessions, 1 ¼ hour each.

WorldPlay, Inc. is open to students in grades K through 6 and will run during the New York City Public School holiday break. Parents can enroll their child for one, two, three, four or all five days. Cost is $70 per day and $300 for the week. Special sibling rates are available. Children can take advantage of a variety of activities including yoga, dance, art, music, culinary lesson, and more.

Winter Wildlife Mini Camp at the Queens Zoo

Children will discover the natural world around them in this wildlife mini camp. Participants will meet the various animals of the Queens Zoo and learn about their winter behaviors. Campers will see exciting animal presentations, participate in arts and crafts, and enjoy other activities.
