Free Arts & Crafts and Clifford the Big Red Dog in Flushing

The Sky View Center in Flushing, Queens’ 800,000-square-foot newest shopping center, kicked off the New Year by hosting a free winter arts and crafts event on Saturday, January 22, 2011. Featuring a slew of activities for all ages, the event was sponsored by Preschool of America and the Red Apple Child Development Center, and guests were treated to a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog and Chuck E. Cheese.

The event was filled with tons of fun and many new faces, as over 500 visitors shopped around Sky View Center, and enjoyed the various arts and crafts stations where they decorated everything from picture frames to paper flowers and butterflies. The lucky young visitors were delighted by their visit with Clifford the Big Red Dog, and many took photos with him to place is their newly crafted picture frames.

With an impressive blend of both national and local retailers, Sky View Center houses the newly opened Applebee’s Grill & Bar, Chuck E. Cheese’s, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, Marshalls, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Best Buy, Bob’s Discount Furniture, and Old Navy, with even more to open this year.
