Not for the faint of heart or stomach. Queens Comfort is a filling, fattening and delicious way to explore comfort food in Queens. This casually decorated restaurant with mismatched plates and cutlery brings Astoria one step closer to foodie central.
What We Ate:
We started with an iced stumptown coffee for me and a pink lemonade for my tween, both served up in Ball jars. We checked out the menu for something yummy. Cornbread pancakes and pork and grits were on the menu and so was a lonely salad which we promptly ignored. We started off with a Funfetti doughnut and moved on to a brunch burger with bacon and a Chicken and Eggo with Tabasco and Maple Butter.
Is Queens Comfort kid friendly?
There is one high chair for the entire restaurant which tells me that toddlers should probably stay away. The menu is not toddler friendly and the clientele looks peaceful and relaxed. Lets help them stay that way and keep the tots away. Older kids and tweens however will LOVE Queens Comfort with its hip music, staff and great food. I highly recommend it for eating out solo with your oldest child. That’s what we did and it was awesome.
