Summer Wildlife Weeks 2011

The Queens Zoo is bringing back its educational camp this year. Divided into different age groups, your kids get to interact with animals and zookeepers through age appropriate activities and crafts.

This special program will teach your kids about wildlife through games, crafts and a variety of hands-on activities. Younger children will interact with live animals and older participants will take part in research activities and will get to work directly with the zookeepers.

It’s a great way for kids to learn about things while they’re on summer vacation, especially if they’re into animals. The program schedule is as follows:

August 1st – August 5th

For kids ages 5-7 . They will be in the Eco-Adventures program

August 8th – August 19th

For kids ages 13-17. They will be in the Teens for Wildlife program

August 22nd – August 26th

For kids ages 8-12. They will be in the Junior Naturalist program

The hours are Monday – Friday from 9:30am – 2:30pm. The fees: $250 for members, $285 for non-members. The teen program costs $500 for members, and $550 for non-members.
