It’s Friday and you know what that means: time for the Queens Mamas top five weekend events! Here’s just some of what is going on this weekend in Queens:

Annual Thunderbird American Indian Powwow

Saturday, July 30th, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.; 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Sunday, July 31st, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Families are invited to experience New York City’s oldest powwow as 40 Indian nations come to celebrate at the Queens County Farm Museum.  Art, crafts, jewelry and food will also be on hand.  Visit Queens Powwow for more information.

Summer Science Workshops for Children

Saturday, July 30th, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Alley Pond Environmental Center invites children to continue their scientific explorations with a lesson in Forest Ecology.  Visit Forest Ecology to learn more.

Sculpture Workshop/Site Winding

Saturday, July 30th, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Free Drop-in Family Art Studio

Sunday, July 31st, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Family Craft Program
