Queens parents have been asking for more educational, family friendly programs at the Queens Zoo, and the Wildlife Conservation Society has heard you loud and clear. You can register your kids now for Toddler Time classes. You may have heard about the Toddler Time classes at the Prospect Park Zoo in Brooklyn, but if you haven’t, here’s the scoop.

Toddler Time is a series of interactive classes for you and your kids, where you all can learn about nature, animals, and the environment. Each week will have a different theme, and all of the activities will relate to that theme. You and your kids will sing songs, listen to stories, have an age appropriate live animal encounter, even do a craft, plus more, all in an hour class every Wednesday morning.

The schedule of classes and themes for Toddler Time at the Queens Zoo is as follows:

September 21st – Moving Marvels

September 28th – Mother Nature

October 5th – Scaly Critters

October 19th – Furry Friends

October 26th – Animal Size Up

November 2nd – Count Like the Animals

Each class is $20 for members, and $25 for non members. If you’d like to sign up for all 6 classes, it’s $100 for members and $130 for non members. The classes will be held at 10:30am on the dates listed. If there are a lot of applicants, the zoo will add additional classes.
