Masal Bhangra Workout for Families Affected by Autism

Starting on November 5, The Queens Museum of Art welcomes families affected by Autism to a fun and free fitness class.

The Masala Bhangra Workout, combines the art of traditional Indian folk dancing with the high-energy, physical excitement of Bollywood!  Students can let go and enjoy themselves as they learn distinct moves and create a wonderful, choreographed dance.

Educators from ArtAccess will be on hand to help engage the children and provide comprehensive physical and visual support.

The class is taught by Roshani Thakore, a visual artist with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. She has been studying with The Masala Bhangra workout for three years and became certified to teach in Spring 2011.
