Best of Queens 2011: Birthdays/Special Occasions

Our Best of Queens 2011 series continues. We asked you where you love to take your kids on their birthdays or just special occasion days, and here’s what you told us!

Best Birthday Places

The winner of this category is:

Alley Pond Environmental Center

APEC birthday parties were your favorite, and it’s no surprise why. Each party is 2 hours, includes a live animal encounter, crafts, weather permitting walks,  and more. The best part: the party is centered around the birthday child: his or her likes and dislikes. For more information, check out their Birthday Brochure.

Runners Up:

My Gym

Birthday parties at My Gym are full of non stop activities, games, songs, and more. Parties can run from 90 minutes to 2 hours. Kids can use all of the toys and equipment during the party, plus the staff will be there the entire time. For more information, visit My Gym.

Energy World

Energy World offers three different package options for birthday parties. This is a great option if your party is on the smaller side, as each option is for up to 12 kids. For more information, visit their website.

Best Place for Special Occasions

Birthdays aren’t the only cause for celebration. We asked where you like to take your kids for those special occasions that happen during the year. Here is the winner you chose:

Queens Zoo

The zoo is a great way to celebrate almost any occasion, and it’s open all year. From their classes to special events to mini camps, the zoo has you covered. For more information, visit their website.
