Children’s Summer Festival at the NY Irish Center

The New York Irish Center will be hosting Tír na nÓg, their first annual two week children’s festival starting on Monday, July 16th and running through Thursday, July 26. Kids will experience Irish culture through dance, workshops, and more!

It will be a celebration of youth, Irish culture, heritage and arts, through instruction & exploration of traditional Irish dance, and mythology workshops, plus drama, story-telling, tin-whistle, and more. With a Grand Finale Showcase for family and friends on Thursday 26th July 6pm, kids will have a great time learning about Irish culture and then will be able to show you what they learned.

The Tír na nÓg Festival will be lead by professional, friendly and very accomplished teaching artists such a Niall O Leary (Irish Dance), Christel Rice (Tin-Whistle), Vera Doherty(Visual Arts) and Jane Mc Carter (Drama). These professional Irish artists are in high demand in the New York Area.

Kids will be in two age groups:

Group 1: 7-9 years old (15 places)

Group 2: 10-12 years old (15 places)

There are only a total of 30 available slots, so act quickly!


Cost: The festival costs $200 per child. Family discounts are available.
