Are you looking for a summer program for your tween that is more than just a time filler until you get home from work? Sunnyside Artworks offers workshops like sewing, beadmaking and more, where your tweens can actually learn something on their summer vacation!
The workshops are geared to get kids ages 8-13 thinking more creatively. Each day is composed of teaching, discussions, guided meditations, hands on creating and journaling.
Here are the specifics of the programs available this summer:
Advanced Sewing Design Challenge Week: July 23 – 27
Beginner Sewing Intensive: July 30 – August 3
Paper Mache, Wax and Clay: August 6 – 10
Fiber Arts and Beadmaking: August 13 – 17
Time: 9:00 to 4:00
Locations: Sewing Workshops meet at 44-15 Skillman Avenue
Art Workshops meet at Queen of Angels Parish Center, 43 – 18 44th Street at Skillman Avenue
Cost: Art workshops are $300 per week including supplies.
Sewing Workshops are $325 per week including fabric for first project, threads, notions and machine usage.
