Next Thursday, August 16th, the Louis Armstrong House Museum will close off 107th Street for its annual free block party presented by Jazzmobile as part of their 48th annual “Summerfest” concert series.
Arturo O’Farrill, the Mexican-born pianist and composer will hit the stage at 7:00 pm. The concert is sure to please visitors of all ages!
New to the block party this year- a hula hoop contest in Louis’s Garden, plus the Queens Museum of Art will present a free art making workshop for kids & families beginning at 5:00 pm.
All that fun will surely help you work up an appetite! Luckily, a number of food trucks will be on hand to sell you their delicious gourmet food! Some of the trucks participating are Mike & Willies, Nuchas Empanadas, Domo Taco and Palenque Homemade Columbian Food.
