It’s that time again! Museums across the country will be opening their doors to the public for free in the spirit of Smithsonian museums. It’s the perfect budget friendly way to experience local museums with your kids!
Saturday, September 29th is Museum Day! This annual event is inspired by Smithsonian museums, since they do not charge admission on a daily basis.
This year, each Museum Day ticket will allow you and one guest admission into the participating museum of your choice.
Among the NYC museums participating are:
- Noguchi Museum
- Queens Historical Society at the Kingsland Homestead
- Louis Armstrong House Museum
- Alley Pond Environmental Center
- Nassau County Museum of Art
- Cradle of Aviation
Free admission will only be granted if you have a printed Museum Day Live ticket. To find a complete list of museums, and to print out your Museum Day ticket visit Museum Day Live.
