Sunset Cruise to Support Jamaica Bay Lives

On Saturday, September 8th, you’ll have a chance to see a part of Queens you probably haven’t even heard of, and you’ll get to do it while cruising in style- on a sunset cruise.

Rarely do you come across an opportunity like this sunset cruise around Jamaica Bay. You get to see a place that has a rich history, but that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Plus, your ticket will help fund the first ever documentary about it – Jamaica Bay Lives! The film needs additional funding to be completed and you can help. Jamaica Bay Lives! aims to weave together the history, the people and the issues into a rich visual fabric that explores this fascinating place. And for one day only, all donations made, up to $25, will get matched – dollar for dollar. On Sunday, September 9th at 10am, your $25 donation would be worth $50. To find out more, click here.

Dan Hendrick, who is producing the film, and the American Littoral Society are teaming up to bring you this fantastic three-hour sunset cruise. It will be a narrated tour of the bay’s rarely seen backwater marshes, with beautiful views, breezes and a wide variety of birds that call the bay home.

Tickets are $55 for Adults (Includes wine, cheese, fruit, & snacks), $30 children 16 and younger.
