Queens is full of great architecture and interesting buildings. That’s really one of the best parts about our borough- it has a lot of character. This coming weekend, October 6-7, you can tour some of these local treasures and find out what makes them so unique and an integral part of Queens in the 10th annual Open House New York.
Numerous buildings across the city will be opening their doors to patrons interested in finding out about their architecture and design history. It provides an opportunity to learn about what went into building these structures.
If you’ve ever looked up and wondered about the history of that awesome looking building as you travel through Queens, this is the weekend for you. In addition to the various programs and lectures available, there will also be a number of kid friendly activities to make this year’s Open House a family affair.
