Ten Cocktails Inspired by Hurricane Sandy

We’ve covered how to keep your kids sane while you’re stuck indoors, but what about you? Mamas and dads need some sanity too, so we’ve rounded up our favorite cocktails inspired by Hurricane Sandy – because parents need a time out too once in a while.

Sea Breeze

Mix vodka, cranberry, and grapefruit juice. Pour over ice

Storm Cloud
Mix rum and coffee liqueur. Pour over ice
Port in a Storm
Mix brandy or cognac and port wine, then fill your glass with red wine. Serve over ice
White Water
Mix triple sec and pineapple juice, then fill your glass with white wine, and top with sprite (or any lemon lime soda) and serve over ice
Windy City
Mix whiskey, a dash of triple sec, 2oz of water together. Serve over ice

Mix equal parts light rum, dark rum, gin, and amaretto. Add a splash of grenadine, then fill with equal parts pineapple, orange, and grapefruit juice. Serve over ice.
