Try Hockey for Free with the NY Rangers

This November, the NY Rangers will be partnering with USA Hockey to provide local kids with the chance to try hockey for free!

Local kids ages 9 and under can attend one of the free hockey sessions at area ice rinks – no experience needed!

Each session includes:


  • Introductory on-ice lesson with professional instruction
  • Free rental skates and loaner equipment
  • Appearance and autographs with a New York Rangers alum
  • Exclusive New York Rangers hockey stick for each participant

Each session is 45 minutes long, is limited to 75 kids, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required.

The schedule for Queens locations:

When: Saturday, November 3rd, 12 – 12:45pm, 1 – 1:45pm, 2 – 2:45pm, 3 – 3:45pm

Where: City Ice Pavilion, 47-32 32nd Place, Long Island City


When: Sunday, November 11th, 12 – 12:45pm, 1 – 1:45pm

Where: World Ice Arena, 12540 Roosevelt Avenue, Flushing
