Has the Black Friday chaos turned you off to holiday shopping? Then Small Business Saturday should restore your holiday spirit. It’s a day dedicated to shopping at local businesses, not huge chain retailers.
The first official Small Business Saturday was in 2010, and it has been growing in popularity by leaps and bounds. Their Facebook page has over 3 million likes. In reality, shopping at local small businesses is what we should be doing year round. It helps stimulate our local economy, and stimulates our communities.
American Express Open, their small business division, have compiled a list and a map of over 200 locally participating businesses. To find a store near you, visit Small Business Saturday. Help by spreading the word to your friends and family to make this Saturday the best yet.
