Spacewar! Video Games Blast Off
Through March 3, 2013, in the third-floor Changing Exhibitions Gallery
This exhibition looks broadly at the first 50 years of video games through the lens of Spacewar!, the first digital video game, its development and the culture from which it sprang. The show presents more than 20 playable video games, including a rare, playable version of Spacewar!, running on a commissioned model of a PDP-1 computer. Recommended for ages 8+

The Art of Rise of the Guardians

A behind-the-scenes look at the making of DreamWorks Animation’s film Rise of the Guardians

Behind the Screen, Ongoing
The Museum’s core exhibition features more than 1,400 historical objects, art works, video clips, and interactive experiences that show how moving images are made, marketed, and exhibited. Latest addition: 3-D Lenticular Posters for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (on view through March 31, 2013)

DreamWorks Animation, through March 3, 2013
Presented in conjunction with the exhibition The Art of Rise of the Guardians, an extensive retrospective of films made by DreamWorks Animation, including the ShrekMadagascar, and Kung Fu Panda series. Matinees every Saturday and Sunday and during select holiday periods.

The Muppet Show in Tut’s Fever Movie Palace, ongoing
Episodes of the popular Muppet television show runs daily in this artwork and theater created by Red Grooms and Lysiane Luong. Showtimes are 2:00 p.m. on weekdays and 1:00, 2:00, and 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. (Part of Behind the Screen)
