Fun in Flushing with The Snail and the Whale
A Beloved Children’s Book Brought to Life – Flushing Town Hall is opening their 35th season with a newly renovated, beautiful theatre a special performance. The Snail and The Whale, based on the book by Julia Donaldson, is a funny and inspiring story about a tiny snail who dreams of seeing the world. She hitches a lift on the tail of a humpback whale and the story begins. A wonderful story, live music and lots of laughs, The Snail and The Whale is a show for everyone ages 4 and up.

The 26th Annual Phagwah Parade
Come celebrate Phagwah, or Holi, the Indo-Caribbean Hindu New Year. The Phagwah Parade is the largest celebration of it’s kind on our continent and tens of thousands of spectators are expected. The celebration takes place on the concrete section of the park rather than in the fields. After the parade, enjoy cultural performances at Phil Rizutto Park (Smokey Oval Park) where festivities will end at 6 pm.
