We have written about the Waldorf Parent and Child program before, but this is the first time that Queens parents will now have to travel far to enjoy them. Unlike a typical “mommy and me” class, the parent and child classes at Waldorf are unique and encompass more than just music and free play. The Waldorf method of education uses natural materials such as wool, wood and other natural fibers in their classes and aim to educate parents as well as children.
“Our Parent-and-Child program offers a gentle, nurturing and appropriately stimulating environment for young children and their parents or care providers. We explore and discuss the principles that give to a harmonious family life and thus support our families as they face the joys and challenges of parenting a young child.”
